This comprehensive course covers all aspects of mammography including breast anatomy and physiology, positioning, quality
assurance, equipment operations, patient care and modifications for non-routine patients. Covers all topics required by MQSA (excluding clinical training).
Student is responsible for 12 hours/25 supervised cases of clinical experience at their site.

Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Creation of all syllabi, learning assessments, objects and lesson plans for the course
    based on national standards
  • Reporting on the learning assessments and objects at the end of the course
  • Daily checking and responding to email from the Director and all Trocaire staff as well as external inquires
  • Completion of all requested reports, paperwork an accreditation responsibilities
  • Responding to phone and email messages within 24 hours
  • Organization and teaching of all material listed in the description of the course

Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Able to work in a fast-paced highly energetic work environment
  • Associates Degree or  Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Must have a basic understanding of the industry including basic medical terminology
  • Able to act professionally in different environments as necessary       
  • An Entrepreneurial business spirit
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Current CPR/First Aid license
  • Independent thinking
  • Initiative
  • All required vaccines to work in a medical setting are current and up to date
  • Reliable transportation
