This is a Grant Funded position through June 30, 2014 with the potential for extension.
The Coordinator of Non-Traditional Occupations will be responsible for increasing enrollment and retention of underrepresented students in vocational programs leading to employment in the related occupations. This effort will affect the entire student body by generating a broader sense of inclusion and diversity in programs.
The incumbent will develop a targeted marketing and recruitment plan to educate potential students and the community about opportunities for individuals interested in these programs and career paths.
This position requires travel throughout the local community, and occasional weekend and evening hours.
*Underrepresented vocational programs and related occupations refers to students pursing degrees in fields traditionally filled by the opposite gender.
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Marketing, Sales, Recruitment, Higher Education, or Closely Related Field
- Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
- Experience in a deadline-driven environment
